AR Television Shows for Kids (Augmented Reality)


The Pioneer of 24 hours dedicated broadcast for cartoon channels, Nickelodeon is on its way to probe yet another flag for being the first in business. According to the latest media reports Nickelodeon with its contemporary Technology partner “EyeCandy labs” (Munich), is working to embark on a public domain AR application for kids. This app would give the slime and blimps a real feel for children playtime. Whereas various figurines like Sponge-Bob and other cartoon characters can be invited to children’s drawing rooms. Further extensions courtesy of augment.tv would generate video gaming patterns and a 'cracker jacker' quality display. 

This Application is looking to build a fan base alongside live broadcast of television content, through creating interactive Minigames and AR stickers, for expressive streak of its youthful audience. The central ideas and themes would be introduced over the televised version while children’s imaginations would be exposed to a passive participation experience by the means of a multitude of free companion apps.



Several beacons would be planted on the televised segments, which would be prompting kids to reach for the AR application. TV producers and writers are preparing trivia, questionnaires, opinion polls and games associated with the episode story lines. Where the participants can vote on their preferences and acquire new AR stickers. Nickelodeon states that children would be able to access games and other AR peculiarities. Independent of the TV shows as well. Many events like Kids Choice Awards and concerts, can be made even more stupefying by the connection with Nickelodeon’s AR Application.

Nickelodeon’s technology game is not limited to the AR experiences, in association with the technology partners at Entertainment lab Nickelodeon has already opened up virtual reality  Slime Zones at IMAX VR centers around the globe in previous year 2018. Similar geo-location Virtual reality conventions at Dreamscape immerse would soon be available for public display, as soon as the financing and investment programmes aligns with the resolute children’s Network.
